This small, steady contribution covers the cost of hall hire and ensures that, even on quieter monthly meets, we always have a space ready for adventures to unfold. It means no cancelled sessions, no last-minute scrambles - just the reassurance that whenever you want to roll dice, tell stories, or drop in for a game, the table will be waiting.
Sorry no. The monthly fees from the Founding Member plan ensure the doors stay open for everyone and mean the club continues to operate regardless of attendees. Much like paying for a sports club membership, you attend on a specific day and if you can't make it you still pay for your membership. We will do our best to lock down and confirm game days months in advance so you have plenty of notice to set your calendar.
The aim it to meet on the last Saturday of every month. We intend to confirm specific dates several months in advance.
We have locked in and confirmed
Saturday 27th December, 11am - 7pm
Saturday 31st January, 11am - 7pm
Saturday 28th February, 11am - 7pm
Circumstances may arise where the venue is not available either due an advance booking, a priority group for the Church requesting the space or force majeure . In such cases we will make every reasonable effort to
1: Find an alternative local venue for our chosen date.
2: Move our games day to another Saturday.
In extreme circumstances where relocating or rescheduling that month is not possible we may have to skip a month.
We cannot offer refunds or credits due to dates / locations moving through no control of our own.
Technically yes you could, however that is not in keeping with the community spirit and collaborative nature of the club. We understand there may be extended periods of time you are not available so pausing your subscription is understandable. We'd ask you discuss this with a committee member so we can help you do this. Anyone found to consistently be cancelling and re-joining to avoid paying for sessions they cannot attend may be asked to leave the group
Yes, if there are spaces available (Members take priority) we will make tickets for each event available at a price of £12 per session.
In the future we may look to offer a free taster session once we have established group numbers. But for now at the launch phase of our new club we need to ensure all costs are covered.
We believe in transparency. Hall Hire: £120 for 8 hours Insurance: £9 per month Website: £17 per month For a total of £146 per month We also pay a transaction fee of appox 2.1% +£0.20 per subscription transaction which means we get £9.59 of every £10 subscription. We need 16 members to in order to cover all these costs in a single month.
16 - 17 years olds are welcome to join if they are accompanied by a responsible adult who is 1: Also a paying member of the club. 2: Is present in the venue at all times. Some of the topics and themes of certain roleplaying and board games are aimed for a more mature audience. We cannot expect members to take responsibility censoring or determining what is suitable and what is not for anyone under 18 years of age.
Our long term plan is as below. 1: Establish a stable number of members for a period of time. 2: Explore options that benefit the club and its members; which could include, but are not limited to.
a: Reducing the monthly cost
b: Adding additional regular / ad hoc game days - at no extra costs.
c: Expanding the capacity of the club on games day.
d: Look at hosting other special events.
e: Purchase club equipment / games.
